First Annual Riverwalk Arts Festival
a success!

The festival dream began with ordinary local citizens whose love of art initiated an idea that has brought a community together.  New Castle’s art festival will be a day of sharing the diverse talents of artists and their mediums for all to explore.  Children, parents, grandparents and friends will be brought together to gain appreciation of the various mediums inclusive of oils, watercolors, photography, clay, wood, metals and other creative talents.   Local talents will create their works from a blank canvas, a block of clay or a piece of undistinguishable wood or metal being molded and prodded into a work of beauty.  It is a fascination for all to observe.

The festival will expand the concept of art through the local churches and entrepreneurs who will share their talents in the way of ethnic food that represents the heart of our community.  Food and entertainment is another way the festival will expand the creativity for all to enjoy.

The perfect setting for this array of talent is the newly designed Riverwalk in downtown New Castle.  Those who haven’t seen it will be amazed at the beauty and innovation of the design which makes it perfect for a display of art, music or peaceful relaxation.
